Nike unveiled Shox technology in 2001 when they released the Nike Shox R4 running sneaker, Nike Shox BB4 basketball sneaker, and the Nike Shox XT4 cross trainer. Designed to absorb energy and return it to the wearer, all three sneakers featured hollow foam columns built into the midsole with a TPU heel counter. Since then, Nike has released many sneakers with Shox technology and they are still considered extremely comfortable sneakers today.

Always wanted it, shoe is great super grippy. I guess shoe is true to size but at first fits tight. real good for a lot of movement.

The 1st time I wore the shoes I thought I made a big mistake. They were VERY tight and slightly uncomfortable. I wore them a few times "around town" to break them in before I headed out on the court. They loosened up a bit, but didn’t truly loosen up until after 3 or 4 sessions.
The lateral support with these shoes is awesome, the tight feeling that they once had when new disappears. A lot of the aches and pains that I experienced with my old shoes (especially foot pain) went away also. They fit like a glove once broken in and you don’t even notice it. If you don’t like a tight fitting shoe then this isn’t for you.
