Nike Blazer High Suede (Vintage)

Released in 1972, the Nike Blazer was one of the first basketball sneakers Nike ever created. They were designed to compete with Converse and Adidas sneakers that were dominating the court, and feature a simple design with a large Nike Swoosh, and an outsole that is fused to the upper. Today you won't find the Blazer on the hardwood, but the classic design still remains extremely popular for casual wear.

These are sick. Like someone else said, these are more of a cherry than a crimson. The contrast of the bright red makes the oversized swoosh really pop. Materials all seem to be quality, but I noticed the red bleeding onto the laces. White laces will likely need constant replacement, so I may get red replacements if the problem persists (it'll be a lot of red, but it beats pink). The suede itself is soft and the white leather is buttery. The "vintage" treatment on the soles is more noticeable in person, and can be disconcerting. I guess its the same idea as buying faded jeans. They do seem to run big. I had some minor blistering on my heal, but I don't normally buy hi-tops so that could have been a contributing factor along with the sizing. Despite all that, I love them.

Just got these shoes in the mail yesterday and they are great. Color is slightly brighter than the pic shows, and more of a cherry red. Love the feel and the vintage look, the foam tounge makes them look even more retro. It is great to have a pair of kicks unlike anything I see other people in. My favorite color is red, and these are some of the more unique shoes I have owned. They do run a little big so I would recommend going down a half size. FRESH!
