Jordan Brand combined the original style of the Air Jordan VIII with footwear technology of 2011 and created the Air Jordan 8.0. This basketball sneaker is now much lighter and supportive than ever before. The Air Jordan 8.0 still looks similar to the original AJ VIII, but features Flywire technology instead of a bulky internal padding, lighter materials on the upper, and sleeker "cross straps." Jordan Brand also removed the carpeted "Jumpman" logo on the tongue.

This shoe is an updated version of the Air Jordan 8 (in which Jordan led the Bulls to their 3rd consecutive NBA Championship). The shoe itself appears much as the original, but comprised mostly with flywire and patent leather. The biggest change is the switch in cushioning to a phylon system, allowing for better fit, feel and responsiveness. All and all, this is an all around good performance shoe.
