The Nike Air Max Plus is a comfortable Nike running shoe first released in 1998. It was the first Nike running shoe to feature the Nike Tuned Air system. The Nike Tuned Air system consists of two opposing polymer hemispheres that rebound against each other to absorb shock. The Air Max Plus may lack a certain appeal for U.S. customers (with the exception of the original "Hyper Blue" colorway) but became a serious favorite of European customers, particularly in Britain where it was associated with hip-hop. Nike has reissued several models of Nike Air Max Plus running shoes in leather and produced variations, including the Air Max Plus 2, 3, 4, and 5. This Nike Air Max Plus is a plastic and synthetic running shoe.
