Puma 917 Su-Pa Low
The Puma 917 is said to be named after the Porsche 917, driven by Steve McQueen in the classic 1971 movie "Le Mans." They were inspired by the original Puma Speed Cat and Puma Future Cat. The Puma 917 features a cylindrical heel shape and T-toe format, which is almost identical to the Puma Speed Cat.
The PUMA 917 Lo Su-Pa lifestyle shoe is a retro-styled sneaker inspired by an unconventional combination: video games, motorsports, and the Porsche 917 race car. The low top, rubber-soled shoe displays a Black/White canvas upper covered by a black/white/burnt orange/light blue screen print design intended to resemble the 8-bit video game graphics of the 1980s. This lifestyle shoe colorway also reflects the paint scheme of the Porsche 917. The mildly pixelated print substitutes for a standard eye-stay, as well as for Puma's medial/lateral sidebar logo, toe cap, and leaping Puma logo at the heel.
