Nike Zoom Kobe V
Here is Kobe Bryant's fifth signature sneaker from Nike, the Nike Zoom Kobe V. They are his lowest and lightest signature sneaker to date. In fact, the Nike Zoom Kobe V is currently the lightest basketball sneaker on the market. And, it's also one of the most durable. They feature a sculpted heel counter that keeps your feet sliding, an enhanced outrigger that provides superior stability, heat-bonded overlays, and Zoom Air in the heel and forefoot for cushioning. Sleek soccer cleats were the inspiration for the Zoom Kobe V design. And, Nike reinforced key sections to ensure maximum support in all the right places while on the hardwood.
The Nike Zoom Kobe V is the next evolution of professional basketball footwear, emphasizing superior performance fit (a new last has sculpted arch and heel) with upper and bottom technologies working in a system, one supporting and enhancing the other. At 10.6 ounces it is one of the lightest professional basketball shoes, but for Kobe that's kinda expected. Next-generation Flywire Technology is more durable and offers better dynamic fit and lighter weight. Perforated foam mesh composite tongue provides more comfort and breathability. Added abrasion resistance in the tip and forefoot by second layer skins. Heel construction gives better conformance to the foot while maintaining superior stability. Dual counter (internal and external) and fabric collar. With a White/ Blue-Varsity Purple-Black colorway, perforated vamp and quarter delivers better breathability. Heartbeat traction pattern tells the story of heart and dedication in the game, as well as cardiovascular training. Flex groove pattern on the outsole gives great transition from medial to lateral as well as from heel toe. The Nike Zoom Kobe 5 (v) professional basketball shoe cushioning is provided by 6mm Zoom Air unit in the forefoot and 14mm Zoom Air unit in the heel. Extremely sculpted midsole helps the entire shoe fit better to the athlete's foot anatomy. Outsole provides great traction and durability with strategically placed outrigger and minimal wrapping in the heel. Continue Reading...

These are the best basketball shoes out there today. I was skeptical about the low top and its ankle support but these shoes are very snug and supportive. Incredibly lightweight, feels like you're floating after being so used to shoes that were 15+ ounces. I can run faster and jump higher.
