The Nike Zoom KD IV is Durant's first model to feature Hyperfuse construction, which fuses three layers to create a nearly seamless upper. They also have an Adaptive Fit system, which is constructed with straps at the forefoot and arch that attach at the midsole and integrate with the laces for superior support. Nike also incorporated personal details including Durant's logo on the heel, his favorite motivational phrases "Work Hard" on the left shoe and "Stay Focused" on the right, and lightning bolts on the outsole to represent the Oklahoma Thunder.
