Air Jordan IX (9) Retro
In 1993, the same year Michael Jordan announced that he was stepping away from basketball; Nike released the Air Jordan 9 (IX). It was designed by Tinker Hatfield and represented the globalization of the Air Jordan brand name. The sneaker features words in different languages that represent Jordan's play, an inner bootie, encapsulated Air Sole unit, "one-pull" lacing system, and a stitched "23" on the back. Nike also released a special cleated version of the Air Jordan 9 that MJ wore during his brief stint in baseball.

I did not have have these in my sneaker collection but now I do. I wasnt trying to pay more than what Sneakerhead had them advertised for. It took exactly 1 week from the time of order to the time of delivery to an APO address you can't beat that. I'm sure that my friends will be ordering from here from now on.

I have been waiting for years for this shoe to come back out without having to pay 300 plus on competitor's website. This is one of the very few original color J's that my shoe collection was lacking.

"Being a basketball player for 13 years and having bought so many basketball shoes, I can safely say that in my opinion, These shoes seem to be much better than the other brands. The shoes provides excellent support and fit for a Mid top shoe due to the padded collar and tongue. They provide good cushioning in the heel, while maintaining a low sole which I find helps with their mobility on the court. The other great thing is the durability. These shoes seem to be consistently durable as I get full seasons worth of use out of them. They are so durable that if I am rushing out of the locker room and have no time to carefully put the shoes on, I can slide my feet in without breaking the back as I have broken a number of Nikes this way. Overall, These shoes are the most supportive, durable, and comfortable basketball shoes I've worn and I would recommend them to anybody."
