Part of the "Johnny Kilroy" pack, this special edition Air Jordan IX is named after a character created by Nike's ad agency after Michael Jordan's first retirement. The popular campaign featured a "disguised" Jordan still playing basketball as "Johnny Kilroy." This model features a combination black nubuck and metallic platinum leather upper, "4" on the heel (Kilroy's jersey number), "Johnny Kilroy" tongue tag, and the phrase "Kilroy Kicks Butt" embroidered under the tongue/on the footbed (taken from a sign in the ad).
