Air Jordan 6 (VI) Retro
In 1991 Michael Jordan won his first NBA Championship while wearing the Air Jordan VI. Designed by Tinker Hatfield and inspired by Jordan's slant-nosed Porsche, the Air Jordan VI sports an inner bootie for snug support, two holes on the tongue for easy application, visible Air Sole, rear spoiler, lace locks, and a translucent outsole.
The Air Jordan 11 (XI) "Space Jam" may not be the retro release everyone was waiting for, but only weeks after it's release, The Jordan Brand is hitting us with yet another classic in the Air Jordan 6 (VI). If you recall, Michael Jordan sported this retro sneaker while winning his first of six championships. With that said, this classic retro basketball shoe first hit retailers during the 1990-91 NBA season. However, this retro basketball shoe seems to feature a couple of different attributes from the original version. As you know, Varsity Red has been substituted on the midsole in place of the classic Infrared, though it's fair to say we can all agree it will do the trick. Furthermore, the predominately black base seems to be made of suede rather than nubuck, while the icy outsole is of course back as well. Air Jordan 6 are probably the most comfortable sneakers sporting the jumpman logo ever. Most Definately up there with the Air Jordan 11. Very simple design, resembles a "porsche" and is very very attractive. I love them, bought two since i missed out on the Olympic 6's back in the summer of 2008. More colorways coming soon.
