The Air Griffey Max 1 was originally released in 1996 when Ken Griffey Jr. played for the Seattle Mariners. It was his first signature sneaker and quickly became a favorite among sneakerheads. Ever since Nike slated the re-release of this model anticipation has mounted. So, now that they’re finally here it’s a relief to see Nike kept them true to the original. They still feature the signature strap with number “24” on the side, visible Air pockets around the midsole, and a jagged design. Now, you can breathe.
