Originally released in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 was the first Nike model to feature "Air" technology. This legendary basketball sneaker was designed by Bruce Kilgore, and named after the aircraft that carries the President of the United States, the Air Force One. The Air Force 1 is Nike's most popular sneaker to date, has been produced in nearly 2,000 different colorways, and is available in low, mid, and high-top models.
The Nike Air Force 1 retro style shoe was at the forefront of the sneakerhead craze during the earlier part of this decade. While the designs and colorways of the Nike SB Dunk were popular for its eccentricity, the Nike Air Force 1 built its backbone on simple yet meticulous color blocking. This retro lifestyle shoe uppers are constructed of clean white leather while metallic silver accents are put into use on areas such as the tongue tag, Nike swoosh, and the outsole. 3M material is added to the Nike swoosh to give it a nice shine in low light. Other features include a clean white midsole and a nylon tongue. This new white and metallic silver 3M pair looks like a throwback from the 80s; the unmistakeable all-white upper on top of the grey sole with a 3M reflective swoosh will have Air Force 1 sneakerheads nodding in approval.
