Nike Air Force 1 (Kids)
Originally released in 1982, the Nike Air Force 1 was the first Nike model to feature "Air" technology. This legendary basketball sneaker was designed by Bruce Kilgore, and named after the aircraft that carries the President of the United States, the Air Force One. The Air Force 1 is Nike's most popular sneaker to date, has been produced in nearly 2,000 different colorways, and is available in low, mid, and high-top models.
The Ironman franchise appears to be on track for a big summer, starting with Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as Tony Stark in the Ironman sequel in May. Nike is never a company known to shy away from capitalizing on a big opportunity. We've already seen the Ironman edition of the Nike SB Dunk High. Now it looks like the kids are getting in on the fun, with a GS release of an Ironman themed Nike Air Force 1 retro basketball shoe. The retro basketball shoe features a patent leather upper, combining team red and metallic gold to represent the superhero's armor. Team red makes up the toe, laces, mid-foot, heel panel, swoosh, and outsole. Metallic gold can be seen on the toe box, mid-panel, and heel tab.
