The Nike Air Griffey Max GD II is a mid-cut trainer/baseball shoe that features a full-length Air Unit and sleek upper design given by the minimalistic swooshes and 5-dot markings that were prevalent in late-1990's early 2000's Nike shoes. This Air Griffey Max GD II training shoe sets itself apart from the rest color-wise and texture-wise. While the previously-mentioned colorways feature a predominately tumbled leather makeup, this particular pair possesses a 100% cool grey suede upper. To coincide with this element, Nike decided to add a grey full-length Air sole unit. Other features of the training shoe include a black midsole, a black inner lining and a script on the back of the tongue which reads, "Engineered to the exact specifications original Ken Griffey Jr." (If you recall, the regular Nike training slogan ends with 'our athletes').
