The Air Jordan Jeter Throwback training shoe features a sleek look that ties it into the rest of the Jordan brand, plus stylish details under the tongue and on the back of the heel that are unique to Jeter's achievements throughout his career. The upper is made of leather and synthetic leather with a quarter overlay system that provides a lockdown, performance fit. For the ninth shoe in the series, the Jordan brand team decided to pay tribute to nine defining moments in Derek's career. Lubrano and Jeter worked together to decide exactly which moments they most wanted to celebrate. From there, Lubrano was given the task of incorporating the shoes on Derek's feet during each of those moments into a single shoe, which resulted in the Air Jordan Jeter Throwback training shoe.
