At first glance the Air Jordan Alpha 1 looks identical to the classic Air Jordan 1, but it's not. Once you examine the sneaker you will notice a thicker midsole, minimal stitching on the outsole, and a different pattern on the outsole. This evolution of the Air Jordan 1 also has technological improvements, which is why Jordan Brand team members (like Dwayne Wade) have also sported them on the court.

"These are my very first pair of Air Jordans. I wanted them forever but never got them, until now. When I opened the box, I could not believe how good they looked (and they smelled great too!). I tried them on and they fit perfectly (if you are a 9.5 in Nike SB, then these are 9.5 as well). I love the fact that they put updated tech (zoom air, etc) into a classic, and now you can rock a Jordan 1 in complete comfort, which was an issue w/the old retros. I really hope everyone can get a pair. I have heard of complaints about the perforations but really they look great in person, and it's functional.
There really is something special to a new pair of Jordans. All the sneakerheads, I used to laugh at you, but now I totally feel you. But these shoes have to be rocked, not stocked!"
