At first glance the Air Jordan Alpha 1 looks identical to the classic Air Jordan 1, but it’s not. Once you examine the sneaker you will notice a thicker midsole, minimal stitching on the outsole, and a different pattern on the outsole. This evolution of the Air Jordan 1 also has technological improvements, which is why Jordan Brand team members (like Dwayne Wade) have also sported them on the court.

"WHAT CAN I SAY...THIS SHOW STARTED IT OFF.ITS A MUST HAVE IF YOUR A JORDAN FAN. I LOVE THE COLORWAY. I PLAN ON WEARING THESE. ITS PRETTY COMFORTABLE. IN MY OPINION 1 THROUGH 13'S ARE THE BEST!!! AND ANOTHER THING I CANT GET ENOUGH OF IS THAT FRESH SMELL OF JAYSS!!!!"

Inspired by '85 but plays like 2010, the Air Jordan Alpha 1 is a great effort by Brand Jordan. While I have not had an original AJ1, I have worn quite a few retros, and none of them felt like the Alpha 1 on my feet. I have always wished retro 1's would come with modern midsole technology, and those hopes were met with Zoom Air holding up the Alpha 1. The upper is also more breathable and feels immaculate around the ankle.Sep 26, 2007
