The Adidas Samba is not only a sneaker classic by Adidas, but it's their longest running model still in production. Originally produced in 1950, the Samba was intended for soccer players who were looking for better traction while playing on the icy/frozen ground. It boasted kangaroo leather and a toe cap with added protection for kicking the soccer ball. Very few sneaker models are true originals, but the Adidas Samba is certainly one of them.
