The Internationalist was first introduced to the world in 1982 at the New York City Marathon. Worn by Cuban running legend Alberto Salazar, they quickly gained popularity and still have followers today. The Internationalist has an upper made from a combination of nylon and suede, an EVA midsole, and a rubber outsole with “waffle” pattern. The re-release of this classic runner was definitely another smart move by Nike.
