Vincent Edward Jackson, better known as "Bo," was born in Bessemer, Alabama on November 30, 1962 and eventually Jackson became one of the most versatile athletes in the sports world. Jackson was drafted by the New York Yankees but chose to pass on the opportunity play baseball in favor of a football scholarship at Auburn University. While he may have chosen college football over professional baseball, Bo Jackson didn't give up his love of America's game. At Auburn, Jackson led Auburn to victory against against the Georgia Bulldogs. During his sojourn with the Auburn football team, Jackson was named MVP and won the prestigous Heisman Trophy. Bo also participated in college track and field. His professional career was no less spectacular. He played both professional football and basketball, and Jackson became a popular figure for his athleticism in multiple sports and the well-known Nike ad campaign called "Bo Knows." The campaign envisioned Jackson attempting to take up a litany of other sports, including tennis, golf, luge, auto racing, and even playing blues music with Bo Diddley, who scolded Jackson by telling him "You don't know diddley!" Now, roughly a decade later, Nike has released the Dunk High "Bo Jackson" edition, inspired by the Nike SC Trainer. Like the Air Trainer "Bo Knows" Dunk High features a grey nubuck upper with yellow, black, and white leather.
